چکیده
VVe inyestigated the effects of oolong tea ofi the basic metabolism of plasma lipids in mice under restraint stress. When a lipid emulsion (Intralipid 20%; a lipid emulsion containing 20% soybean oil) wus iajected intravenously into mice, the restraint stress prolonged the half-life CTm) of elimination for plasma triglyceride (TG) from 28.7 to 55.5 min. The elimination rate per minllte was 48.2% in stressed mice with the rate in staryed control mice as 100%. Therefore, TG metabolism was disrupted by the stress, and the use of TG as an energy source decreased. VVe found that the metabolism ef lipids signMcant]y response to the restrained stress in the present study. Plasma TG was 515.9± 29.9 mgldl 35 min after Intralipid administra-

Effects of oolong tea on metabolism of plasma fat in mice under restraint stress.
We investigated the effects of oolong tea on the basic metabolism of plasma lipids in mice under restraint stress. متن کاملSuppression of postprandial hypertriglyceridemia in rats and mice by oolong tea polymerized polyphenols.
Oolong tea-polymerized polyphenols (OTPP) are characterized polyphenols produced from semi-fermented tea (oolong tea). In the present study, we evaluated the suppressive effects of oolong tea extract and OTPP on postprandial hypertriglyceridemia in rats and mice. Lymphatic recovery of triglycerides in rats cannulated in the thoracic duct was delayed by the administration of oolong tea extract a...

The main goal of this study was to compare effects of ethanol-soluble fractions prepared from various types of teas on sucrose-induced hyperlipidemia in 5-week old male Sprague-Dawley rats. Rats (n 5 6–8 per group) weighed approximately 200 g were randomly divided into control diet, sucrose-rich diet, green tea, oolong tea and black tea groups. Control-diet group was provided with modified AIN-...
متن کاملOolong tea increases energy metabolism in Japanese females.
Oolong tea is a traditional Chinese tea that has long been believed to be beneficial to health such as decreasing body fat. We were interested in this assertion and tried to evaluate the effect of oolong tea on energy expenditure (EE) in comparison with green tea. The subjects were eleven healthy Japanese females (age 20+/-1 y; body mass index (BMI) 21.2+/-2.5 kg/m2) who each consumed of three ...
متن کاملEffect of gallic acid on chronic restraint stress-induced anxiety and memory loss in male BALB/c mice
Objective(s): Long-term exposure to stress leads to memory deficits and certain mood disorders such as depression and anxiety. We aimed to study the effect of gallic acid (GA) on chronic restraint stress (CRS) induced anxiety and memory deficits in male BALB/c mice.Materials and Methods: Ninety male BALB/c mice were assigned to nine groups including caged control (CC): food-water deprived (FWD)...
